Mona Ghanem Al Marri, Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council, and President of the Dubai Press Club, announced Wednesday that the 22nd Arab Media Forum will be held from May 28 to May 29 while the second Arab Youth Media Forum will take place on May 27.

Both forums, organized under the Arab Media Summit umbrella, will provide a platform to exchange knowledge in the media industry. Aside from this, the 23rd Arab Media Award and the fourth Arab Social Media Influencers Award will also be held during the forum as a part of the Arab Media Summit.

The announcement was made during a press conference held by Al Marri and organizing committees. She said the Arab Media Summit will allow media professionals to exchange ideas, insights, expertise, and experiences in the media industry.

"An expanded agenda has been developed for this edition of the forum to discuss significant media issues, and the positive impact and potential challenges that can result from the shifting economic and social landscape both in the region and the world," Al Marri was quoted as saying by WAM.

"The media sector plays a crucial role in educating and raising awareness about changes that directly affect people's lives. The Arab Media Forum will feature several closed sessions with experts and specialists to discuss various topics directly impacting the media sector," she added.

Al Marri emphasized that the goal is to create ideas and suggestions to enhance the Arab media's capacity to fulfill its mission effectively. She said that the second Arab Youth Media Forum will focus on empowering the next generation of media professionals and influencers in the region.

She further said that the Arab Media Summit is committed to including younger talent in the next Board of Directors of the Arab Media Award, noting that this year's edition will mark an end to the current board members and the new board will be introduced.
