Emirati and American business leaders have welcomed U.S. President Donald Trump's visit to the UAE, calling it a key step toward deepening the strategic partnership between the two nations. The visit is expected to spur greater collaboration in key sectors such as technology, energy, and investment.

Humaid Mohamed Ben Salem, Secretary-General of the UAE Chambers of Commerce, said the visit gives a strong push to joint investments in vital sectors such as AI, space, renewable energy, healthcare, and advanced tech, WAM reported.

He also noted that over 1,800 U.S. companies already operate in the UAE, and that number is likely to grow following the visit.

Salem highlighted the UAE's participation in the "SelectUSA" Investment Summit in Maryland (May 11–14) as a sign of strong private sector ties between the two nations and a key opportunity to boost collaboration.

Danny Sebright, President of the US-UAE Business Council, called Trump's visit a major milestone, marking the start of deeper cooperation in AI, advanced tech, energy, and defense. He added that UAE investments in the U.S. have surpassed $1 trillion, including major projects in AI infrastructure, clean energy, and manufacturing.

One major initiative involves MGX, Microsoft, and xAI working together under the "AI Infrastructure Partnership" to invest $100 billion and create 20,000 jobs in the U.S.

Sebright also mentioned several major UAE investments in the U.S., including ADQ's $25 billion deal with Energy Capital Partners to power U.S. data centers, ADNOC's partnerships with ExxonMobil and OMV in low-carbon and natural gas projects, and Emirates Global Aluminium's plan to build the first new aluminum smelter in the U.S. in over 30 years.

He stressed that these moves reflect a strong, trusted economic relationship. Other key projects include Masdar's clean energy initiatives across several U.S. states and Mubadala's investment in GlobalFoundries, which has generated over 18,000 jobs in New York.

In nuclear energy, ENEC CEO Mohamed Al Hammadi highlighted the UAE's cooperation with U.S. nuclear tech firms as a global example of safe and peaceful nuclear development.

Al Hammadi said ENEC is investing in advanced nuclear technologies and microreactors through partnerships with TerraPower, Westinghouse, and X-energy. President Trump's visit to the UAE highlights the strong U.S.-UAE relationship and a shared vision for future cooperation.

The visit emphasizes their joint commitment to strengthening ties in politics, security, and key economic sectors to promote stability, innovation, and prosperity for both countries and the region.
