The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), through its Sharjah Training and Development Centre (STDC), has wrapped up an official visit to Spain aimed at boosting academic and training partnerships and supporting the growth of national talent and leadership skills.

The visit was led by Maryam Saif Al Shamsi, Assistant Director-General of SCCI, and Amal Abdullah Al Ali, Director of STDC. They met with leading Spanish universities to explore ways to improve leadership and management skills for professionals in the UAE, WAM reported.

As part of the visit, STDC signed key agreements with the University of Navarra and the University of Salamanca. These partnerships will help create joint training and academic programs, promote the exchange of experts, and support international recognition of STDC's training efforts.

The partnership with the University of Navarra, led by Jaime García del Barrio from the Institute for Culture and Society, is focused on updating STDC's programs to match global leadership trends.

The visit also celebrated the success of the "Strategic Business Leadership" program, created in partnership with the Granada Chamber of Commerce and the University of Granada.

This program has played a key role in improving leadership and business skills among UAE professionals. Through their meetings with top Spanish institutions, the delegation gained valuable knowledge about modern management methods and smart decision-making strategies.

SCCI Aims for International Recognition and Advanced Training

Maryam Saif Al Shamsi highlighted SCCI's dedication to improving STDC's training quality by aiming for international recognition and using new training approaches. The partnerships with Spanish universities are expected to help UAE professionals become more competitive globally and encourage ongoing learning and growth.

During their visit, the delegation met with experts at the University of Granada who specialise in administration and management. Their discussions focused on strategic leadership, effective management practices, and ways to improve leadership training programs.

SCCI Seeks to Enhance UAE's Global Leadership

The goal was to help professionals build the skills needed for smart decision-making and staying ahead of future business trends. These new partnerships in Spain are an important move by the Sharjah Chamber to boost the UAE's position in global leadership and management.

Through these international collaborations, SCCI wants to give UAE professionals access to top-quality training that supports the country's goals for innovation and long-term growth.
