Dr. Mohammed Salim Al Olama, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health and Prevention, appreciated Emirati doctors for their exceptional contributions to community health and well-being.

His comments came on Emirati Doctor's Day, which is celebrated every March 11 in the country. Al Olama said the United Arab Emirates is proud to celebrate the great and distinguished efforts made by Emirati doctors as they serve the community and care about people's health.

"It is an occasion to showcase how proud we are of the national medical competencies, honoring their achievements and unwavering dedication in the field of medicine," he was quoted as saying by WAM.

Al Olama praised Emirati doctors for working tirelessly to provide healthcare to all members of society and maintaining the highest standards of quality. Furthermore, he noted that "recognizing Emirati doctors on this special day mirrors the profound value our wise leadership places on the development of the nation's medical sector."

"It serves not only to commend the exceptional efforts of Emirati medical professionals but also to underscore their pivotal role in shaping and enhancing the healthcare landscape in the country," he added.

Al Olama appreciated the efforts and sacrifices of Emirati doctors in improving the quality of life of the people of the UAE, noting that doctors are integral to the health system, demonstrating true commitment and excellence in their tasks.

Celebrating the occasion, Al Olama said that the ministry reaffirms its "full commitment to supporting Emirati doctors and ensuring they have the necessary resources to continue their noble mission of serving the country and society."

"We will spare no effort to foster their professional growth and success as they strive towards further progress in healthcare excellence," he added.

Last month, the Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre (ADPHC) of the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH) said more than 150 healthcare facilities are offering the "IFHAS" comprehensive health screening program to all Thiqa cardholders aged between 18 and 75 years.

Last month, Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice Chairman of the Dubai Health Board of Directors, inaugurated the 28th edition of the annual UAE International Dental Conference and Arab Dental Exhibition at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
