Vice Chairman of the Dubai Health Board of Directors Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum on Tuesday inaugurated the 28th edition of the annual UAE International Dental Conference and Arab Dental Exhibition (AEEDC Dubai 2024).

The inauguration of the three-day event, which saw leading international names in the fields of dentistry and oral health, took place at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

The vice chairman was accompanied by the Director General of Dubai Health Authority (DHA) Awadh Seghayer Al Ketbi.

The event was also attended by PAM Roving Ambassador for the GCC Region, Executive Chairman for AEEDC Dubai and the Global Scientific Dental Alliance (GSDA) Abdulsalam AlMadani.

President of the World Federation of Dentistry FDI Gregory Chadwick was also present during the event alongside esteemed heads of delegations, associations, scientific and academic organizations and other notable figures representing 155 countries.

"With the continuous economic growth in the UAE, which has made it one of the most competitive and diversified economies in the region and the world, through AEEDC Dubai, we strive to promote the health sector, specifically oral and dental health," AlMadani, PAM Roving Ambassador for the GCC Region said, WAM reported.

Sheikh Mansoor underscored the importance of such conferences and exhibitions that paves way for exchange of knowledge, expertise and expanding partnerships aimed at serving people and offering innovative solutions to enhance their quality of life.

He also highlighted Dubai's pivotal role as an international hub for organizing and hosting major events, including sector-specific conferences and exhibitions with broad global appeal, especially related to the healthcare sector.

Meanwhile, AlMadani emphasized the role of AEEDC Dubai in driving development in the UAE and the entire Middle Eastern region as it contributes to the revival of local sectors such as conferences, exhibitions, events, tourism, retail, hotel, and leisure sectors due to participants coming from across the world.

AEEDC Dubai features more than 5,328 brands from 3,924 entities in the oral and dental health industry. The conference also includes 155 expert speakers alongside training courses, workshops, scientific posters, and student competitions showcasing research and case studies.

Honorary Chairman of AEEDC Dubai Dr. Tariq Khoory expressed his joy in celebrating the 28th year of the AEEDC Dubai event, noting that it "has revolutionized the global dental industry landscape, helps to meet the demands of the community by promoting economic growth and the advancement of health care."

The event is organized by INDEX Conferences and Exhibitions Org. LLC and supported by various dental and health organizations including the DHA, the Scientific Global Dental Alliance and the Gulf Health Council.
