The Abu Dhabi Registration and Licensing Authority (ADRA), part of the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED), has partnered with the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood (SCMC) to launch the Future Entrepreneurs permit.

This initiative aims to support young entrepreneurs and future business leaders. It is the first program of its kind in the region, designed to help children aged four to 18 develop business skills, WAM reported.

Through participation in exhibitions and events across Abu Dhabi, children can gain age-appropriate knowledge and learn essential entrepreneurial skills to start and manage their businesses.

ADRA Executive Director Mohammed Munif Al Mansouri said that the Future Entrepreneurs permit is an important step in creating new business opportunities for young people in Abu Dhabi. The permit allows aspiring entrepreneurs to take advantage of the emirate's strong economy and diverse market, enabling them to explore various business activities.

He said ADRA's commitment to promoting entrepreneurship and encouraging youth participation in the business community, ultimately contributed to Abu Dhabi's economic growth and strengthened its position as a leading destination for business and investment.

Rym Abdullah Al Falasi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, stressed that the initiative, launched in collaboration with ADRA, provides children with the skills needed to start their businesses.

The program aims to enhance financial and commercial knowledge among young generations, fostering a culture of innovation and preparing them to contribute to Abu Dhabi's sustainable economic future.

She also acknowledged the efforts of children involved in the Little Volunteer program, who actively participated with dedication and responsibility. These young volunteers played a key role in assisting participants and contributing to the event's success, serving as inspiring examples of future leaders.

This initiative is part of a larger effort to support the entrepreneurial ecosystem, create business opportunities for different groups, and help young people achieve their entrepreneurial goals and succeed in future markets. The Future Entrepreneurs program offers a wide range of activities that don't require external approvals.

These include handicrafts, environmental works, design services, gift wrapping, printing on textiles and clothing, retail sales of perfumes and gifts, calligraphy and drawing services, the sale of non-precious jewelry and accessories, and selling frames, pictures and paintings.

It also covers food-related activities such as selling ice cream, dates, sweets, spices, beverages, olive oil, pickles, and fresh fruits and vegetables. To ensure safety and meet food regulations, all food-related activities must be approved by the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority.
