Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) and Member of the Dubai Council, inaugurated the 17th edition of Art Dubai on Wednesday.

Art Dubai, an exhibition where international artists showcase their artistic innovation, is hosted under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

Art Dubai will be featuring over 120 contemporary, modern, and digital galleries, showcasing Dubai's creative landscape. While the exhibition will be held from Friday (March 1) to Sunday (March 3) at Madinat Jumeirah, the VIP previews were held on Wednesday (Feb. 28) and Thursday (Feb. 29).

"Innovation is at the core of Dubai's essence, as we continually shape the future of cultural and artistic creativity through our dynamic initiatives, programs and events, reflecting our city's forward-looking approach," Sheikha Latifa said, as reported by WAM.

"By leveraging our distinctive cultural diversity and the prowess of our creative community, Dubai will continue to empower the cultural and creative industries sector towards the emirate's sustainable development," she added.

According to the chairperson, Art Dubai resonates with the creative goals and aspirations of the community to become a regionally and internationally recognized vibrant artistic movement.

During her exhibition tour, Sheikha Latifa was briefed on the diverse program for art enthusiasts. She went on to praise the organizers for making local and international artists, innovators and cultural partners come together on a creative platform.

Art Dubai Digital is curated by Alfredo Cramerotti and Auronda Scalera while Art Dubai Modern is curated by Dr Christianna Bonin.
