ADQ, an Abu Dhabi-based investment and holding company, Thursday announced that it has signed a multi-year sponsorship agreement with Pyramids Football Club (Pyramids FC) while ADNOC Distribution revealed it has become an official partner of the Egyptian Premier League professional sports club.

Pyramids FC, formerly known as Al Assiouty Sports Club, has rapidly become one of the best-performing football clubs in the Egyptian Premier League.

Anas Jawdat Albarguthi, Chief Operating Officer at ADQ explained that this sponsorship will allow them to "leverage the universal appeal of football to convey our passion for excellence, our belief in the importance of partnerships as well as our dedication to fostering the health and well-being of local communities," WAM reported.

"Side by side with the club's loyal fanbase, we wish the team success and fair play for their participation in the Egyptian Super Cup, which we are following with great excitement," he added.

Mamdouh Eid, Chief Executive Officer of Pyramids FC, called the partnership with ADQ a testament to the sports club's "commitment to fostering football excellence across all facets of our team."

"This multi-year sponsorship agreement signifies the beginning of a journey that will help propel the club toward greater success, enabling us to realize the long-term goals and ambitions that we have set for Pyramids FC," he added.

Commenting on the partnership with Pyramids FC, ADNOC (Abu Dhabi National Oil Company) Distribution's CEO Bader Al Lamki said that this will mark its official entry into Egypt and added that the company has been working toward expanding its presence in the Middle East and North Africa's most populous market.

"We understand that football is among the most popular sports in Egypt with a huge fan base, making Pyramids FC, an ideal partner for us. The partnership reflects our strong commitment to support local communities in Egypt and to invest in nurturing young aspiring sports talent in the country," Al Lamki added.

Eid has also expressed pride in partnering with ADNOC Distribution, underlining that this collaboration will have a positive impact on the future of both entities.
