Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced that the 9th edition of the Dubai International Project Management Forum (DIPMF) is set to begin on Jan. 17 under the theme of "Beyond Boundaries."

The event is organized by RTA and co-hosted by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), DP World Group and the Project Management Institute (PMI).

In the event, international experts, project management specialists, renowned speakers, heads of entities and senior officials are expected to discuss numerous topics that will help to enrich the realities of Dubai.

The 9th edition of the DIPMF will discuss 14 pillars across three main themes: Sustainability, Modern Methods of Project Management, and Future Trends and Technology, WAM reported.

The Sustainability theme covers sustainable societies, greener projects, and sustainable architecture. Modern Methods of Project Management explores trends like future project management offices, benefits value management, inspiring leadership, project economy, and circular economy. Future Trends and Technology delves into artificial intelligence, the future of smart mobility, agile transformation, digital twin/metaverse, and data management.

Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of RTA Mattar Al Tayer noted that the event has "evolved into a key global event in the agenda of the specialized international conference circuit," adding that "it is acclaimed for presenting best practices and fostering innovative solutions in project management."

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director and CEO of DEWA, thanked Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai for his vision and directives that made this event possible.

The CEO highlighted that Dubai has become a benchmark at the global level for best practices and a model of success and excellence in various fields, especially in managing infrastructure projects through latest advanced technologies.

During the event, Dubai will share its experience in managing renewable and clean energy projects alongside best practices to promote innovation and sustainability, increase efficiency, and reduce carbon emissions, supporting the United Arab Emirates' climate action.

Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Group Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of DP World also expressed his excitement for the upcoming event and said "being part of this esteemed event aligns strategically with DP World's vision, enabling us to contribute to elevating the standards of project management not only within the UAE but also on a global scale."

The event, which witnessed more than 12,000 participants in the previous edition, underscores Dubai's dedication to regional development and positioning itself as a hub for diverse global leaders to exchange ideas and visions across various sectors.
