Azizi Developments, a Dubai-based real estate developer, announced a donation of AED 600 million to build an endowment education complex, which is a part of the Mothers' Endowment campaign.

The donation was announced Wednesday in the presence of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI).

The Mothers' Endowment campaign was launched by the Crown Prince to provide sustainable help to educate millions around the globe.

The donation, one of the largest charity contributions in the UAE, was announced at the signing of an agreement between the MBRGI and Azizi Developments to develop an education complex.

The Crown Prince of Dubai took to X (formerly Twitter) on the same day and shared a video, featuring him witnessing the signing of an agreement. He called the agreement a "generous act of philanthropy" by Azizi Developments.

"This is one of the largest ever charitable donations in the UAE. We thank Mirwais Azizi, the founder and chairman of Azizi Developments, for his contribution. This gesture exemplifies the vital role the private sector plays in Dubai as a partner in the nation's development," he added.

During the event, Mohammad Al Gergawi, Secretary General of MBRGI, highlighted that the growth in new endowment educational projects in Dubai reflects the prime minister's vision for sustainable charity.

"The agreement signed with Azizi Developments as part of the Mothers' Endowment campaign is a significant addition to the humanitarian efforts made in the UAE, particularly by MBRGI to uplift underprivileged communities," he said, as reported by WAM.

"This is achieved through a focus on education, which we see as the optimal investment and insurance against both current and future challenges, and a pathway towards prosperity and a better quality of life," he added.

Mirwais Azizi, Founder and Chairman of Azizi Developments, also shared similar sentiments, noting that this education complex highlights how education plays an important role within communities to achieve economic prosperity and social stability.

"Our hope is that this endowment complex will help equip students with the knowledge and tools required to complete their education, empowering them to build a brighter future for their nations," Azizi added.

Earlier this week, Sharaf Group announced supporting the Mothers' Endowment campaign by donating AED 5 million, helping millions of underprivileged individuals with the necessary tools and skills for living an independent life.
