The unveiling of these future projects highlights ECS's commitment toward innovation and development, showing a positive approach to increasing the emirate's economy through various initiatives, WAM reported.

The ECS is working toward promoting business tourism and boosting growth opportunities in various sectors. To achieve this, it plans on expanding its operational capacities, increasing the size of exhibition areas and venues, and attracting a wider range of international exhibitors.

It also plans to organize new high-caliber exhibitions, especially in the automotive sector. This will help the emirate meet the business community's aspirations and provide platforms for showcasing products that meet the best international practices.

These goals were discussed during an ECS Board of Directors meeting, which was headed by Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and Expo Centre Sharjah.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Majid bin Faisal Al Qasimi, First Deputy Chairman of SCCI; Walid Abdul Rahman Bukhatir, Second Deputy Chairman of the Sharjah Chamber; and Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of the Expo Centre Sharjah, along with members of the Centre's board of directors and department heads and managers.

During the meeting, the officials also discussed a comprehensive analysis of Expo Sharjah's revenue performance last year as well as the achievements made this year, outlining the substantial growth compared to 2022. The Expo Centre marked a significant increase in visitors, crossing 2.5 million people. Moreover, it also witnessed a rise in both local and international events to approximately 50 exhibitions.
